I grew up in the fields, forests, and rivers of rural Ontario. The natural world was not a backdrop to life but part of it, shaping the way I understand place, memory, and belonging.
For more than three decades I have worked as a designer, signmaker, and woodcarver. Over time, those disciplines have gradually given way to something quieter: the creation of sculptural works that connect material, place, and presence.
My work is guided less by ornament than by permanence and presence. Whether a carved threshold, a memorial sculpture, or a work rooted in a particular landscape, I am interested in objects that settle naturally into people's lives and deepen in meaning through time.
