Bespoke Memorial Sculptures
Custom hand-carved works blending Art, Memory, and Personal Legacy.
Each piece is a celebration of a life, captured in form — created both for those who wish to honour someone remembered, and for those who choose to leave a legacy for generations to come.
Pieces may incorporate a discreet vessel for ashes, or other meaningful elements, if desired.
Feature Piece
Silent Vigil
This sculpture was created in collaboration with four siblings in honour of their uncle.
The design was guided by a set of words that captured his spirit: stoic, grounded, strong, quiet, and calm.
The barred owl was chosen as the central symbol, a totem embodying stillness and a thoughtful, measured approach to life. Standing approximately 25” tall and carved from basswood, the sculpture’s smooth, minimalist form conveys both tranquility and strength. Its posture suggests repose and introspection, inviting contemplation and quiet reflection.
Created with care and intention, this piece is meant to serve as a lasting heirloom, carrying their uncle’s memory forward for generations to come.
Commissioning a Memorial Piece
Each memorial begins with a conversation—an exchange of stories, words, and images that hold meaning. From these shared reflections, a design gradually takes shape, carrying the essence of the one being remembered. Sketches guide the process, leading into the carving and finishing of a sculpture that is both personal and singular.
The process usually takes 2–4 months from first discussion to completion. Pricing varies with size and detail.
“When our uncle passed, we wanted a way to truly honour his memory. Jayce listened with care and guided us toward a piece more meaningful and beautiful than we could have imagined. We’re so grateful for the heart and artistry he brought to creating such a lasting tribute.”
