Architectural Relief • Ontario

Developed for a century farm overlooking Georgian Bay, this gable-end carving draws inspiration from orchard landscapes, seasonal abundance, and a long relationship with the land.

Origin

The work emerged from the character of the property itself—its orchards, open landscape, and enduring connection to cultivation. Birds, fruit, and foliage are woven together as a reflection of place rather than a depiction of a specific scene.

Making

Carved in relief and integrated into the architecture, the composition was developed through drawing, observation, and refinement, allowing the forms to evolve alongside the structure they inhabit.

In Place

Rather than standing apart from the building, the carving becomes part of its identity—connecting architecture, landscape, and memory through a shared visual language.
